Centenary of Rodolfo Siviero's birth 1911-2011

Saturday 17 December: lecture by Francesca Cavarocchi on Rodolfo Siviero's activity for the information Services and the Resistance Movement during the Second World War

At 5 pm at the conference room of Associazione Amici dei Musei Fiorentini in via degli Alfani 39 in Florence the centenary of Rodolfo Siviero's birth is celebrated with a conferent by the resercher of Istituto Storico della Resistenza in Toscana, Francesca Cavarocchi on the most mysterious period of Siviero' life. Furthermore films by the Italian television on Rodolfo Siviero will be shown.

9-12 pm Notte Bianca (White Night)

11 am Young collectors who participated at the competition organized by Casa Siviero will be given awards for their collection. Siviero collector of sacred objects

Opening of the exhibition: Saturday 29 January, 10.30 am
The exhibition is open until 25 April 2011 in the opening time of the museum.

Organized to know better the liturgical objects of Siviero collection, of which specialized scholar Diletta Corsini has done the catalogue, the exibition presents a group of sacred objects (chalices, reliquiaries etc...), that, being conserved in the upper floor, closed to visitors, of the house museum, had never been shown before.
